I am pleased to launch three disc recordings of American music. In this album, William Grant Still is featured in his major violin masterworks. His music is so colorful, full of jazzy and romantic idioms. Charles Wakefield Cadman’s neglected violin sonata definitely shows his love towards the Romantic style which is apparent throughout the work. Ezra Laderman’s violin sonata is also included in this recording in commemoration of his 90th birthday.
